How to find and collect your lost property

Lose something in a Seattle Yellow Cab? Not to worry, we can arrange a delivery, help you coordinate shipping, or ask the driver to return the item to our Tukwila office for pick up. In some cases, drivers will return items to SeaTac Airport Lost & Found, depending on where you were picked up or dropped off.

Puget Sound Dispatch’s (PSD) Lost & Found Policy:
  • You may report a lost item four ways:
    • By Submitting a claim on our Contacts page
    • Calling our Customer Care team at 206-343-4260
    • Emailing us at Customercare@seattleyellowcab.com
    • Visiting our Tukwila office at 2901 S. 128th St.; Weekdays 7:30am to 3:30 pm

Live agents can arrange for immediate delivery if possible. They can also document the issue and help expedite our response time. 

Please note, response times may be delayed for items reported on Saturdays and Sundays, as our main office is closed on the weekends.  

  • Drivers are expected to report lost or forgotten items immediately. If you are not interested in paying for delivery, drivers are required to bring the lost item(s) to our Tukwila office within 24 hours, or the following business day. 
  • Lost items can be delivered to an address of your choosing, shipped, or picked up from our Tukwila office. Our fees are as follows:
    • Delivery =  $10 plus the meter rate 
    • Shipping = $35 admin fee, plus you create and pay for the shipping label
    • Pick up from Tukwila office = FREE


Please call dispatch or Customer Care to arrange for delivery, shipping or pick up. 

Tukwila office hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm.
  • PSD will store electronics and small items, such as cell phones, passports, wallets and laptops for up to 60 days. After 60 days, these items will be recycled, mailed to the U.S. Department of State Consular Lost or Stolen Passport Unit, or taken to a local police department. 
  • Larger items (e.g., backpacks, luggage, etc.) will be bagged and stored at our Tukwila office for 7-14 days, depending on the item size. PSD will not go through these items unless necessary (e.g., item is odorous, etc.). After 7-14 days, these items will be discarded.
